Threat Detection & Identification (TDI)

TDI allows UC to spot bad actors in a consistent way. In addition to its ability to spot malware and compromises, it also allows UC to respond quickly across the system to new threats in a uniform way.

Conventional security products often detect issues too slowly and provide a fragmented and incomplete view into what’s happening within a network. The goal of TDI (Threat Detection and Identification) is to block most malicious web and email traffic, confirm zero-day attacks, create real-time threat intelligence, and capture dynamic callback destinations. The TDI system will generate alerts that will be investigated and triaged, and will also deploy inline blocking at critical locations within UCLA’s network.
