Administrative Systems & Services during the Campus Closure 2015-16

From Thursday, December 24, 2015, through Sunday, January 3, 2016, the Information Technology Services (IT Services) office hours and systems hours of availability have been modified due to the University closure. For further information, please contact the IT Support Center at (310) 825-8000.

Administration

IT Services offices will be closed.

Business Applications

The offices will be closed but normal computer services will be operating. Staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems.

Data Center

Operations will be staffed to support daily processing. MDDS will provide courier service to Wilshire Center for check delivery. No print output will be delivered to Murphy Hall unless arranged in advance. Print output delivery will resume on Monday, January 4, 2016. Storage management, ACF2 support, RDS support, etc., staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems. No logon IDs will be set up and there will be no security training scheduled during this time.

Information & Data Strategy

QDB/CDW staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems. No user support will be available. DBA staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems.

Information Management Services

The offices will be closed but computer services such as Shibboleth, Box, and the Campus Services Portal will remain online 24/7. Staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems. There will be no Shibboleth SP registration, Box Support or Portal content publishing services.

Infrastructure Services

Staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems.

IT Security

Staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems.

Networking & Communications

All services will remain operational. Staff will be available on an on-call basis to resolve any problems. No new service requests will be processed during this time, except on an emergency basis.

Student Applications

The offices will be closed but computer services will be available according to the schedule linked to the right. Staff is available off-site and on an on-call basis to resolve any problems.
