Data Center & Servers
On Sunday, May 10, from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m., IT Services will be upgrading software on the Data Center firewall appliances. The upgrade is required to fix a software bug which results in a memory leak. This memory leak caused the firewall appliances to failover on 3/26/20 and resulted in an outage. We'll be upgrading the code on one firewall at a time. No outage is expected as traffic will be rerouted through redundant firewalls. There's a potential brief connection timeout while the traffic is being rerouted.
This upgrade has been postponed.
IT Services/Network Service will be doing code upgrades and VPC configurations on Data Center Network Nexus switches on Saturday, May 4.
