The Data Model diagram of a database describes graphically the attributes (columns) of the tables as well as the relationships between the tables. It is a valuable reference when querying a database. There are two data models for each data type, one for those with central (global) access and one for those with departmental access.
The Data Dictionary is a collection of descriptions of the data objects or items in the database.
