Databases maintained by Directory Services generate the online UCLA Directory. Each UCLA department’s directory updater is responsible for entering, maintaining and deleting his/her department’s listings.
Commercial Directories
Directory Services also coordinates UCLA’s departmental White Pages listings and Yellow Pages advertising in commercial directories. If you’d like to add, modify or delete your listing or advertisement in a commercial directory, please contact Directory Services at x51990 or x51033 or email ucladir@it.ucla.edu.
Directory Updaters
Each department has at least one authorized directory updater who has access to the IT Services Directory Update System. Updaters are responsible for entering and maintaining their departmental listings and assuring the integrity of their data.
If you don't know the name of your department’s directory updater, please contact the personnel office of your department or call Directory Services. Departments determine which faculty and staff members are included in the UCLA Directory.
Ordering UCLA Directories
Directory Services no longer prints a hard copy of the UCLA Directory. Certain sections of the UCLA Directory are available as downloadable PDFs. (http://directory.ucla.edu/browse.php)
Directory Listings
UCLA Faculty & Staff
Contact your department directory update coordinator to initiate a new directory listing. Changes to faculty and staff listings are reflected online within 24 hours.
UCLA Departments
Department listings are updated and maintained by Directory Services from changes submitted by authorized department update coordinators. Changes to department listings are reflected online within 48 hours.
UCLA Students
Student listings within the online directory are generated through MyUCLA. Changes can be submitted through MyUCLA or via a change form, available at 1113 Murphy Hall (in the north lobby beneath the lighted bulletin board). The monthly BAR billing statement also includes an address change section.
University of California System Directory
The University of California (statewide) Directory is no longer published annually by the University of California Office of the President (UCOP). You can look up individuals and departments at other University of California campuses online http://www.ucop.edu/directory-search/index.php .
