UCLA will begin using UCPath in July 2014. In the meantime, UCOP has launched a newsletter to keep you informed.
News from the UCLA UCPath website:
"As you may be aware, a major UC systemwide initiative called UCPath has been underway over the past 18 months. The objective of UCPath is to implement new technology and a centralized shared services center to provide one integrated payroll, benefits and human resources system to support staff and academic personnel processes for all University locations. When the UCPath Center is in place, employees will have centralized, dedicated telephone and email support for questions related to personnel transactions, benefits and payroll.
Numerous UCLA leaders and staff from across campus and the medical center have been collaborating for over a year with the University of California Office of the President project team and other UC campuses on this endeavor.
The UCPath initiative is one of the most complex operational projects ever undertaken at the University. When this project was launched in 2011, an initial go-live date in 2013 was projected. The magnitude of the work effort and change necessary for implementation success indicates that we need to adjust our original estimate. To that end, it is currently planned that UCLA will begin using UCPath in July 2014.
Below is a link to the newly launched UCPath Newsletter, Looking Forward, published by the University of California Office of the President. This month’s newsletter provides additional information on the overall UCPath initiative and major benefits for our campus and the UC system overall. Also included is a Q&A section with the University of California UCPath Executive Sponsors, Peter Taylor, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Nathan Brostrom, Executive Vice President of Business Operations."
