Single Sign-On (Shibboleth) Outage Impacting UCLA Logon

Our single sign-on service is down, impacting your UCLA Logon. We're working to resolve the issue.

Update, 1:54 p.m. — SSO/Shibboleth has been restored. If you continue to experience issues with the service, please contact the IT Support Center at (310) 267-4357 or help@it.ucla.edu.

Update, 1:30 p.m. — We're continuing to restore SSO service as we bring the servers back online. Single sign-on service should be mostly restored. We'll continue to post our progress.

Update, 1:03 p.m. — The team's still working on resolving this issue. We're continuing to work on bringing the backend Shibboleth authentication systems back online. We'll continue to post our progress.

Update, 12:02 p.m. — We're still working on restoring SSO service. The front-end Shibboleth servers are being restored. Users may still get error messages, however, depending on which backend Shibboleth authentication server the load balancer connects the user's web browser to. We'll update again once SSO service is fully functional.

Update, 11:19 a.m. — SSO service is being restored. The Shibboleth backend systems and the Enterprise Directory servers are being recovered one at a time. Applications and services that rely on Shibboleth for authentication will slowly begin recovering. We'll update again once service is fully restored.

We're aware that the Single Sign-On (SSO) service, Shibboleth is down, resulting in issues using your UCLA Logon to access services and websites across campus, including VPN services. The outage was caused by maintenance earlier this morning to the Cisco UCS firmware. We're actively working on resolving the issue, and will update when we have more information.
