The IT Services Infrastructure Support Team will be implementing an UCS firmware upgrade on May 15, 2021, from 1:00 a.m. to 5:59 a.m. There should be no impact to the availability of all services.

A Zoom call will be open during the maintenance window on March 22 starting at 12:00 a.m. to provide IT Services, customers and our stakeholders a forum where they can request status or ask questions during the upgrade.

The IT Services Infrastructure Support Team has encountered technical difficulties. A root cause analysis will be conducted to determine the next steps.  

We will notify you once the root cause has been determined and will provide you with a plan for a future implementation date.

ITS Data Center Network Migration on Thursday, February 4, 2021

Network Services will be migrating Vlan79 (128.97.98.128/26 network) configured in the Data Center environment to the new infrastructure on February 4th, 2021.

Network Services will be migrating Vlan79 (128.97.98.128/26 network) configured in the Data Center environment to the new infrastructure on February 4th, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. This will impact ITS LDAP servers that reside in this network and services on these hosts will be intermittently available during the migration.

Planned maintenance: Upgrading two routers at CSB1 on Mon., 12/21 at 5 am

Network Services will be upgrading two service routers on Mon, Dec. 21 2020; 5-8 a.m.

UCLA IT Services -- Network Services will be upgrading the IOS on two service routers at CSB1 on Monday, Dec. 21 2020 from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. The IOS is being upgraded and configured to support the ssh protocol. ITS Voice Services, Security, and Systems Operations utilize both service routers at CSB1.  These systems and services have redundancy, so no outages are anticipated  during the maintenance window, with the exception of the FireEye appliance.

Services on these hosts will be intermittently available during the migration.

Campus Datacenter Maintenance on Sunday, September 27, 2020

Network Services will be performing a software code upgrade on the Datacenter nexus switches on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

IT Services -- Network Services will be performing a software code upgrade on the Datacenter nexus switches on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. The upgrade is required to fix a software vulnerability. We'll be upgrading the code on one DCN device at a time, and no outage is expected for the dual-attached hosts as traffic will be re-routed through redundant devices.

Campus Datacenter LDAP/UCOP Network Migration on Thursday, August 27, 2020

Network Services will be migrating Vlan79 (128.97.98.128/26 network) configured on the Datacenter environment to the new infrastructure on Thursday, August 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Network Services will be migrating Vlan79 (128.97.98.128/26 network) configured on the Datacenter environment to the new infrastructure on Thursday, August 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This will impact UCOP switches, as well as ITS LDAP servers that reside on this network. Services on these hosts will be intermittently available during the migration.

Campus Data Center Partial Outage on August 6, 2020: Resolved

There is a partial outage in the campus data center, which is potentially impacting access to remote resources.

2:50 p.m. -- The issue should now be resolved. Campus Data Center Partial Outage on July 26, 2020: Resolved

The Campus Data Center is experiencing a partial outage on Sunday, July 26, 2020.

7:31 p.m. -- The outage should be resolved as of 6:17 p.m., however IT Services is continuing to monitor the situation. 

6:16 p.m. -- IT Services has taken various actions to mitigate the impact of the outage. We are currently monitoring the situation and will continue to work towards a complete resolution.
