On Saturday, 10/5/19 and Sunday, 10/6/19, IT Services will be applying new security patches on the VoIP Virtual Machines between 12:00 am (10/5) and 11:59 pm (10/6).
UCLA IT Services – Network Services will be performing switch replacement at South Campus Student Center on Monday, September 30, 2019, between 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. During the switch replacements, wireless users at South Campus Student Center will experience intermittent connectivity.
IT Services will be performing a VoIP hardware change out on Sunday, September 15, 2019, between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
IT Services will be upgrading the drivers on the VoIP UCS Virtual Machine Servers Saturday, 8/24/19, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. This upgrade is at the recommendation of Cisco Systems to address the VoIP phone reset issue recently experienced.
UCLA IT Services – Network Services will be performing maintenance to upgrade software on four campus wireless controllers and associated access point devices on Sunday, 9/8/19, between 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Campus controllers will be upgraded and reloaded in pairs and wireless access will be disrupted intermittently in certain areas during this process.
IT Services will be performing VoIP maintenance activity on Thursday, August 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
UCLA IT Services – Network Services will be performing maintenance activities on Sunday, 8/4/2019, between 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Maintenance activity includes Access Point reboots in preparation for an upcoming controller software upgrade. Campus wireless users in the following buildings may experience intermittent connectivity during the maintenance hours.

IT Services will be updating the software on our Cisco Expressways, on Friday, 7/05/19, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and midnight. Users of Webex should not be affected. During this timeframe, there may be instances where Jabber phones will be briefly unavailable while they re-register to the network.

IT Services, Network Services, will be doing code upgrades and VPC configurations on Data Center Network Nexus switches on Sunday, May 19, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. The maintenance will affect all hosts in Math Sciences Data Center connected to Data Center infrastructure. There will be intermittent network connectivity issues during the maintenance time.

IT Services/Network Service will be doing code upgrades and VPC configurations on Data Center Network Nexus switches on Saturday, May 4.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, from 1:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m., the IAMUCLA team will be performing maintenance on the Production UCLA Single Sign On (SSO) service. During this time, we will be making a minor configuration change to enable integration with a Service Provider. The change will be transparent and there should be no outage to the service.
UCLA IT Services – Networking & Communications will be performing maintenance activities on Friday, 4/5/2019, between 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. We will be reloading the switches that support some wireless users in the School of Public Health area at CHS. Campus Wireless users in School of Public Health area at CHS may experience intermittent connectivity during the maintenance hour.
On Sunday morning, February 24th, the Mainframe Systems Group will be upgrading our 7 ½ year old mainframe CPU.
On Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 8 a.m., IT Services will be migrating the Time Reporting System (TRS) to new servers. Traffic will be routed by A10 to the new servers, increasing availability and reliability for TRS in UC Path. During the migration, there will be a brief outage for approximately 30 minutes, and access to TRS will be restored once the migration's complete.
