Data retrieval is changing under UCPath.
With the upcoming UCPath PP Replacement Project, we want to emphasize that at UCPath Go-Live, data in PP QDB will be frozen. The UCPath CDW/Cognos will be the exclusive data source for Payroll and Personnel queries.
If you need to continue to retrieve current Payroll & Personnel data after the Go-Live date, either your PP QDB queries need to be created in Cognos Query Studio or your existing Cognos reports need to be retrofitted to source UCPath data.
The Enterprise Data Warehouse team has been supporting UCPath in production for UCOP employees since November, 2015. We have acquired a great deal of knowledge and experience with the new process and we plan to leverage that to assist our UCLA customers.
We realize that many of you may be retrieving the same or similar data with your reports. We’d like to take this opportunity to solicit your most common reports and use cases to begin an inventory. With this inventory we hope to build a suite of standard prompt driven reports for all our customers. This will reduce the number of reports you may have to remediate. Here are a few samples of uses cases we have already gathered:
- List of employees with FS code (to review head count)
- List of employees within a title to do a salary comparison
- List of employees by title code
- List of employees with name, title code, title, appt type, end date for critical date tracking or make rosters
