With Software Shortcut, you’re able to access certain CLICC software packages from anywhere you can access the Internet. You don’t need to install anything and you can save files to your local computer or even print to your local printer. Start by going to the Software Shortcut site. If you’re off campus, you’ll need to use the VPN client to get access. Available software includes Stata, SPSS, Photoshop and more.
In January 2004, UCLA committed to the infrastructure and policy changes that would support the business use of campus email. Primary considerations center on the ability for an official business email to be delivered with reasonable confidence to a mailbox for which there is a reasonable expectation that the message will be accessed and read by the intended recipient. To help facilitate such policy changes, new provisions to the UCLA Email Policy and Guidelines have been added which address two significant changes concerning the use of email.
In an effort to simplify access to information about campus business services, a new UCLA web portal and content management system have been developed. Combined, these tools are designed to deliver administrative information and self-service applications quickly and easily to staff, faculty, students, and external users. The portal could replace dozens of independent departmental websites over time.
As with all UCLA Departments, UCLA Communications Technology Services (CTS) and the UCOP Department of Information Resources and Communications (IR&C) are striving to meet the challenge of recent budgetary constraints, while maintaining our commitment to quality of service for the University community.
